1. It has no WiFi Adapter, it isn’t unusual that adapter wasn’t included, but there will be great if that has everything that you need already in the box. You could run a LAN cable, but it will probably wind up buying the WiFi adapter separately.
2. It is annoying when you are watching TV in the day and you don’t see those promised “deep blacks.”, the picture suffers from bright light.
3. Speakers are just ok. If you’re looking for great quality sound, you may want to invest in some higher-end speakers.

I did quite a lot of research on HDTVs before I bought this one. We mostly wanted to have a good tv for sports (my wife is a bigger sports junkie than I am! GEAUX SAINTS!), so we’re very happy we got a plasma. The blacks are truly rich, which seems to make all of the other colors really pop. And the motion thing…well, it works!
I had already honed in on the Panasonics. Consumer Reports (worth every penny, by the way) gave them excellent reviews. Then our neighbors happened to buy this same model which is Panasonic TC P42S30. I took one look at that one and was sold!
Only possible drawback might be placing TC P42S30 in a bright room, so do consider that. But it looks great in our entertainment area, even during the day.
OK, one more thing…I wish Panasonic TC P42S30 had a swivel base. But I can live without it.
It has enough connectors for our needs: Apple TV, Bose speaker system, MacBook. I had to buy a few adapters and cables, but they were all inexpensive on amazon.com and easy to hook up.
I’m pretty sure a good external sound system is going to be desirable for any large tv. I never saw a review that touted even decent built-in speakers.
